George Willis GIFireE BSoc Sci(Hons) established Accensus Fire Consulting in April 2014 after 10 years in the London Fire Brigade having performed the following roles:

Fire Safety Inspecting Officer in the Borough of Camden

On-call member of the London Local Authority Co-Ordination Centre (LLACC)

Research Officer in the Fire Investigation Team
George has attended the aftermath of hundreds of fires over the past 10 years and having experienced directly the human, physical and financial cost and suffering has developed a passion to help prevent them from occurring through diligent fire risk assessment and appropriate focused staff training.
George has been involved in several prosecutions including taking the lead role on a successful joint prosecution alongside a local authority, issued over fifty enforcement notices and carried out hundreds of fire safety inspections under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 on a wide range of premises.
George is a Graduate member (GIFireE) of the Institute of Fire Engineers and a member of the UK chapter of the Institute of Arson and Accident Investigators. He has studied for and passed the IFE Level 3 Diploma in Fire Science and Fire Safety and is currently gathering evidence to be accredited on the IFE Register of Fire Risk Assessors.
In his spare time George likes to follow Shrewsbury Town FC, listen to The Fall and spend time with his growing family and pets (but not all at the same time).
